Most dog collars are built for dogs that spend their day on a couch. A Kelpie is not that dog. They're in the ute before sunrise, through three paddocks by lunch, and still going at dusk — working in heat, dust, mud, creek crossings and whatever else the day throws at them. Their collar needs to handle all of it without falling apart or reeking after a week.

That's why we build ours from waterproof PVC. It doesn't absorb dirt or sweat, doesn't stink, won't rot, and takes about five seconds to wipe clean. The hardware is riveted, not stitched — because stitching fails under load, and out in the paddock you don't want to find that out the hard way.

The Australian Kelpie was bred to work hard in tough conditions — mustering sheep and cattle across the kind of country that destroys cheap equipment fast. A working Kelpie can cover 60km in a day. They swim, they dig, they push through scrub, and they do it all again tomorrow.

first of all i am a total gear snob! there are few and far companies i truly love and Jacaranda is a huge winner. you cannot substitute a good PVC collar, its so wet this winter, i really needed something that didn't need to be hung up to dry all the time, especially during club days and at sport trials where dogs are running on muddy ovals These collars are soft and flexible unlike other brands of this sort. i also found the sizing very generous. We normally use ruff wear collars which can go upward of $50 each, but you cant beat Jacaranda! under $20 , Handmade in AUS , Waterproof , Soft to the touch , Grippy (my new MUST for walking 3+ dogs together) and i trust these clips not to snap (i ordered custom from a well known CA company and that's how i found out we have good recall! thank you jacaranda , this is the kind of business we need to support, from farmers to city pups these collars are amazing for all <3

Super strong and really lovely colours!

We brought multiple different collars and leads we love the martingale sets, the training lead and ute straps we have a working pup and a house dog and they work great for both of them my house dog would break everything collar and lead we ever used and I'm happy to say that these have held up I'm a very happy customer we definitely never look back now

These collars are outstanding. The material is heavy-duty but soft enough that it doesn’t irritate any of my dog's skin. The buckle snaps tightly and feels completely secure against hard pulling dogs. I absolutely love the range of colours you can choose from. It has been through mud and water, washes easily, and does not hold odors. Fits all my dogs perfectly according to the size chart.
